Final Walk-Through Inspection
Typically held the day before or on the day of closing, the buyer will conduct a final walk-through inspection to verify that the property’s condition matches the terms of the Purchase Agreement. This inspection ensures there are no new issues and that the seller has removed all belongings as agreed.
Cancel Home Services and Utilities
Once the sale is complete, we’ll provide you with a helpful list of contacts to cancel home services and utilities. This ensures a smooth transition for both you and the new owner.
Be Prepared
Even at this final stage, unexpected issues can arise, such as delays in the buyer’s loan processing or last-minute property repairs. Don’t worry—our team has the expertise to handle these situations quickly and efficiently, ensuring you stay on track for a successful closing.
Closing Process
During the closing, you, the buyer, and the closing agent will sign the settlement agreement, which certifies the accuracy of all financial transactions. If you are receiving funds, you can opt to have them wired directly to your financial institution or request a check from the buyer. Once all documents are signed and funds are transferred, your property is officially sold!
